Call to Order:  Mayor Dan Noss called the meeting to order at6:00 PM

 

Motioned by Venske and seconded by Turner to accept the minutes of the regular city council meeting on October 11, 2023.

 

Payment of the Bills as presented was motioned by Wright and seconded by Turner.  Motion carried.

 

Public Comment/Requests:

None

Donation Requests/Donations Accepted

Motioned by Wright and seconded Chyba to approve resolution 11082023 accepting $2000.00 from the Randall Cushing Area Lions for Fire department pagers. Motion Carried.

Motioned by Chyba and seconded Turner to approve resolution 11082023-2 accepting $100.00 from the Darling Thunderbirds 4H for Bingo Park Improvements. Motion Carried.

Old Business: 

Motioned by Venske and seconded by Turner to approve purchasing winter themed seasonal utility pole banners design D440-R. Motion Carried.

 

New Business: 

 

Motioned by Wright and seconded Turner to renew the prosecution agreement with Morrison County Attorney’s office. Motion Carried.

Motioned by Chyba and seconded by Turner to approve the voting operations, technology, and voter resources account agreement with Morrison County Resolution.  Motion Carried.

Motioned by Chyba and seconded by Turner to approve the purchase of a new replacement pump for the Brummer lift station at a cost of $7435.00 from Hydronic Distribution Center.  Motion Carried.

Council Set Friday December 8th at 9:00 am for a budget workshop and full-time employee reviews.

Committee Reports:

 

Matt/City Manager/Liquor Store: 

City staff along with Dan Thilquist will be visiting the Zimmermann MN wastewater treatment plant and meeting with their staff on Wednesday November 15. Their plant underwent reconstruction a few years ago with the same types of changes that are being proposed to the Randall Plant. Staff will have an opportunity to see how it works and learn how it changed the treatment process.

MDH approved the grant request we submitted for extending the well 2 casing to reduce the risk of contamination in the event of a flood.

Rural Development has some disaster funding for public property. Pantzke will be applying for funding for the 2022 flood damage to city owned property.

Clerk Jim Chyba: Impressed by City staff’s ability to repair the snowplow on the city pickup truck.
