New Business:
Shady’s Group approached the city at the April 10th City Council meeting to discuss the purchase of the Randall Municipal Liquor Store. After the work session on April 15th, and the public hearing on May 6th, Shady’s presented City Council with a purchase agreement. The purchase agreement between Shady’s Group and the City of Randall was discussed. Chyba stated that he believed there needs to be something in writing regarding Shady’s agreeing to put in a fully operational kitchen/grill with a time-line attached to it since that was one of the main reasons they agreed to the sale. Venske motioned to accept the purchase agreement with an addendum stating that Shady’s Group agrees to put in a kitchen with the ability to serve restaurant style food by January 1st, 2025. Turner seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Motioned by Turner and seconded by Venske to repeal municipal liquor sales in the city of Randall effective May 27th, 2024 by approving resolution 05082024-2. Motion carried.
Motioned by Venske and seconded by Chyba was to approve the issuance of an on and off-sale liquor license to Shady’s Group for 501 Pacific Avenue. Motion Carried.
Motioned by Wright and seconded by Turner to approve a tobacco sales permit to Shady’s Group for 501 Pacific Avenue. Motion Carried.
Motioned by Wright and seconded by Turner to approve Community Impact Funding resolution 05082024. Motion carried.
Motioned by Turner and seconded by Wright to set June 12th for a public hearing to discuss the Flood Plain Ordinance. Motion carried.
Motioned by Chyba and seconded by Turner to approve a one day malt beverage license to the Randall Cushing Area Lions Club for Saturday, July 6th. Motion carried.
Pantzke brought up some problems with West 6th Street and that there are needed repairs. Ideal paving looked at 6th Street and could provide a bid for repairs, with the City to dig out and replace the culvert.
Planning and Zoning Permits:
Motioned by Venske and seconded by Turner to approve building permits for Price, Heimenz, Born, Maxon, Greewaldt and Wayranen. Motion carried.
Committee Reports:

Deputy Mayor Jeff Wright: Wright mentioned that the alley behind Randall Building Supply will need to be addressed in the near future.
Clerk Jim Chyba: Suggested keeping the liquor funds in a separate fund even though the bar will be sold. Pantzke reported that the 609 fund will stay open for the foreseeable future.
