Call to Order: Regular Council Meeting called to order by Wright at 6:02 pm.
Motioned by Venske and seconded by Chyba to accept the minutes of the city council meetings on June 11th, 2025 and June 17th, 2025. Motion carried.
Payment of the Bills as presented was motioned by Maciej and seconded by Turner. Motion carried.

Old Business:
Little Falls School Board has voted to close Dr. SG Knight. There has been no outreach from the Little Falls School District regarding future plans for the building.
Bingo Park Bridge has been refurbished and feedback from the council and residents has been positive.
New Business:
Motioned by Maciej and seconded by Turner to approve change order 1 from Widseth to CL Excavating. This change order removes the portion of East Minnesota Avenue that does not have water and sewer that requires replacement, resulting in a contract price reduction. Motion carried.
Motioned by Venske and seconded by Chyba to approve Malt beverage permit for Randall Cushing Area Lions for the St. James Parish Festival. Motion carried.
Motioned by Venske and seconded by Maciej to approve the purchase of Digger Derrick truck from Aitkin Ford on behalf of Aitkin Public Utilities. Motion carried.
Motioned by Turner and seconded by Maciej to pay $42,000.00 to Widseth for the design work on the WasteWater Treatment Plant by Nero Engineering/AE2S. Motion carried.
Planning and Zoning Permits: Motioned by Turner and seconded by Chyba to approve building permits for Jim Chandler and Tom Jacobson. Motion carried.
Delinquent Accounts: Council members reviewed delinquent accounts.
Committee Reports: The city has less than 10 water meters left to install but they will be the most challenging ones to get access to and/or change out. The Independence Day celebration was a huge success. Very busy in town and the band, parade, fireworks and events were all great. Time to start thinking about the date for next year since July 4th is on a Saturday which means added expense for fireworks, vendors, etc. due to holiday pricing and availability. Pantzke thanked Turner for her clean-up efforts following the celebration.
Despite discussions with business owner there has been no change to the use of the easement by Sunwood Lane. Council discussed the possibility of putting up a fence to more clearly mark the property line to avoid misuse of the easement. Impacted business owners will be told about council’s plans and be asked to come to the next City Council Meeting to ask questions/voice concerns.
Mayor Jeff Wright: No comments or concerns.
Council Member Carrie Turner: Turner mentioned how proud she was of Randall and great celebration over the weekend.
Council Member Jim Chyba: Chyba wanted to thank the organizers, staff, and people that donated to the celebration to help make it such a great success.
Council Member Jeff Maciej: Maciej echoed Chyba’s appreciation regarding the Independence Day celebration.
Council Member Mary Venske: Venske also thanked Pantzke for all of his efforts the past month.
