Call to Order: Regular Council Meeting called to order by Wright at 6:00 pm.
Motioned by Maciej and seconded by Turner to accept the minutes of the city council meetings on July 9th, 2025. Motion carried.
Payment of the Bills as presented was motioned by Maciej and seconded by Venske. Motion carried.

Old Business:
Little Falls School District: Invitation was extended to the Little Falls School Board to attend tonight’s meeting, however they were not available to do so. An invitation was extended to Pantzke and a couple city council members for a work session Little Falls School District is having on Monday, August 18th. Pantzke, Maciej and Chyba to attend.
Sunwood Lane: Two business owners impacted by the encroachment on Sunwood Lane are in favor of a fence, with one owner willing to do cost sharing on the project. Motioned by Maciej and seconded by Turner to go forward with installing a fence on the property line on Sunwood Lane. Pantzke to research options and pricing.
Water Treatment Plant: Widseth did some additional testing at the water treatment plant. Iron levels for raw influent water in 2017/18 were at 1.5 parts per million, and now that level has risen to 4.5 parts per million. As a result of the high iron levels, the city switched over to Well 2. It is a treatable issue but additional testing is needed to ensure the proper course of action is taken. There is also sediment built up in the water tower, potentially from the water main break last year. The water tower will be flushed and properly cleaned to clear the sediment.
New Business:
Motioned by Venske and seconded by Turner to approve resolution 08132025 approving the sale of parcel 43.0322.046 to Environmental Advantage Real Estate, LLC. Motion carried.
Motioned by Maciej and seconded by Chyba to approve city funding of dirt work for new Lion’s Club pickleball court. Motion carried.
Motioned by Venske and seconded by Chyba to approve the purchase of surplus land from MNDOT for $2500.00.
Planning and Zoning Permits: Motioned by Turner and seconded by Chyba to approve building permits for Cain, Brausen, and Wester/Shokker. Motion carried.
Delinquent Accounts: Council members reviewed delinquent accounts.
Committee Reports: It has been a fairly quiet month with few issues, beyond those discussed previously. No major problems or concerns.
Mayor Jeff Wright: No comments or concerns.
Council Member Carrie Turner: No comments or concerns.
Council Member Jim Chyba: Chyba wanted to mention that Shady’s has moved the shed and it will be used for a band shell. There will be live music there Saturday Night.
Council Member Jeff Maciej: Maciej wanted to thank Pantzke for his efforts regarding SGKnight. While the vote didn’t go in the city’s favor his efforts did not go unnoticed.
Council Member Mary Venske: No comments or concerns.
