SPECIAL MEETING – WATER/WASTEWATER OPERATOR POSITION

JUNE 29th, 2026

Call to Order:  Special Council Meeting called to order by Mayor Wright at 3:00 pm.

Council Members Absent:

Staff Members Present: City Manager Matt Pantzke, Administrative Assistant Kimberly Moffitt, Public Works Supervisor Patrick Kalis

Motioned by Venske and seconded by Turner to accept Keith Evan’s resignation.  Motion carried.

Motioned by Chyba and seconded by Venske to prorate Evan’s clothing allowance resulting in a $150 deduction from his final PTO payout.  Motion carried.

Council members reviewed several options for addressing the Wastewater/Water Operator vacancy. Pantzke will contact local license holders to explore potential consulting assistance and will also request a proposal from PeopleService. Council members would like to evaluate all available options before making a decision.  Would like to have a decision on how to proceed with the vacancy as well as a job posting available for approval at the July 8th city council meeting.
