Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with all members present, except councilman Charles Andres.

 

Regularly scheduled council meeting minutes, January 15, 2014, were approved as presented.

 

No questions of specific bills

Motioned by Turner and seconded by Adamski to approve the payment of the bills. Carried

 

Old Business:

Council was presented with the Yellow Ribbon Proclamation from Governor Dayton. Councilmen Dan Noss read the proclamation. Randall was one of the first cities to become a Yellow Ribbon city. A Yellow Ribbon city is noted for going above and beyond helping the residents that actively service or have served in the Armed Forces.

 

New Business:

Jon Archer was present at the council meeting, representing Schlenner, Wenner & Co. Jon informed the council that the 2013 Audit was complete and explained the results.

 

Motion was made by Noss and seconded by Adamski to approve the 2013 Audit as presented, carried.

 

Jerry Peterschick informed council of the dates available for the Clean-up Day was April 26, 2014 or May 10, 2014. He told council he reserved May 10, 2014.

 

Reminder:  May 7, 2014 9 a.m. at the Fire Hall Local Board of Appeal and Equalization, three members of council needs to be present for this meeting.

 

Liquor Store Update:  March 4th, Mardi Gras at the Municipal Bar with music from Sue Kliber, 7:30 to 9:30 pm.

 

Water and Sewer:  Water main broke Gulf Avenue and W 3rd, VFW water line froze, various businesses service sewer lines were froze and since been repaired. Install two new sewer pumps.

 

Maintenance Department:  nothing to report.

 

Police Department Report: nothing to report.

 

Council Member’s concerns:

Charley: nothing at this time  Jerry A.: nothing at this time    Rick: nothing at this time

Dan: As a member of the RABG, a project to install to bike rakes, downtown, one at Gosch’s and the other at Kim’s, there was a need to have a stand for the rake at Kim’s. Dan was asking on behalf of the RABG to see if the City would donate. He also wants to help assess the computer networking for City Hall and see what can be implemented to improve efficiency.

 

Motion made by Riitters and seconded by Turner to donate $100 to the RABG for the purchase of a bike rake support, carried
