Truth in Taxation Meeting – 7:00 p.m.
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with all council members present except Noss and Turner. No residents or other public present.
The preliminary tax levy for 2015 from $148,000 to $155,000 was set and approved September 15, 2015.
Meeting suspended until 7:15 p.m., reopened and adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
Regular meeting
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with all members present except Noss and Turner. Also present were two members of Boy Scout Troop #38 of Randall/Cushing to complete a community event service badge and Randall Area Business Group, Susan Roberts & Kim Schultz.
Susan Roberts & Kim Schultz thanked the city council for the donation to Randall Holly Day and give a summary of the day’s events. In all the Holly Day Event was a great success, with good weather and great advertising, everyone was in Randall.
Minutes of the last meeting November 18, 2015 and special meeting December 9, 2015 were approved as presented.
Motioned by Adamski and seconded by Riitters to approve the payment of the bills as presented. Carried
Donations: Motioned by Andres and seconded by Adamski to accept 27 stackable chairs from Minnesota National Guard to be donated to the Randall VFW. Carried
Old Business: None at this time
New Business: Motioned by Riitters and seconded by Adamski to not waive the monetary limits on tort liability recognized by Minnesota Statutes 466.04 for 2016. Carried
Special meeting for tax levy at ended at 7:15 p.m. no one present. Motioned by Andres and seconded by Riitters to accept the increase from $148,000 to $155,000 for 2016 Tax Levy. Carried
Motioned by Andres and seconded by Riitters to approve annual donation of $4,100 to Community Services for 2016 Randall youth recreational programs. Carried
Motioned by Riitters and seconded by Andres to approve 2016 annual budget. Carried
Motioned by Riitters and seconded by Adamski to approve 2016 wages and raises. Carried
Motioned by Riitters and seconded by Adamski to approve Resolution 2015-01, to decertify TIF #2, the Little Elk Development. Carried
Motioned by Adamski and seconded by Andres to approve the 2016 renewal of the prosecution agreement with Morrison County. Carried
