Special meeting for June 3, 2014 was called to order by Mayor Riitters at 9:00 a.m. at the Randall Fire Hall meeting room. All council members present and city manager.

The purpose of the special meeting was to hold an open discussion about City Administrator/Manager position, upon upcoming retirement.

Mayor opened discussion and talked about the option of separation. This would give the option to renaming the City Manager title to City Clerk/Treasurer and having a Liquor Store Manager.

Andres liked the possibility to going to a part-time City Manager & full-time Liquor Store Manager.

Noss would like to see a full-time City Manager position & full-time Liquor Store Manager.

Adamski agrees to the option that Andres discussed and to separate the position of Liquor Store and City.

Turner agrees with same options above with Mayor Riitters, Andres and Adamski.

The council would like to know if the hiring process can go without the advertising. Jerry will look into this before the next special meeting.
