Special Meeting December 13, 2012

                The special meeting of the Randall City Council was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all members present.

                The meeting was convened for the purpose of discussing employee wages for 2013, the 2013 budget and employee benefits packages. 

                There was a motion by councilman Adamski 2^nd by Councilman Carter to set 2013 wages as follows:

Part-time bartenders $10.00 per hour

Full-time bartenders $11.00 per hour

Administrative Assistant $13.97 per hour

Part-time (seasonal) $8.50 per hour

Utilities/Maintenance Supervisor $19.29 per hour

Police Chief $21.00 per hour

Water/Wastewater Supervisor $43,772.00 annually

City Manager $46,400.00 annually

Benefits for insurance and auto allowances were not to be changed.  Motion carried

 

A motion was made by Councilman Andres 2^nd by Mayor Riitters to increase pay for all regular and special council meetings by $10.00 per meeting, effective January 1, 2015.  Motion carried

 

A motion was made by councilman Carter 2^nd by councilman Turner to increase the number of paid special and committee meetings from eight to up to twelve per year.  Motion carried

 

Councilmen Adamski and Carter are to work on the employee personnel manual and bring a draft to a future council meeting.

 

Councilmen Carter and Adamski and the city manager are to update the Randall Salary/Step Program chart for 2013 and bring to the next council meeting.

 

The 2013 proposed budget is to be updated reflecting salary increases and brought to the December 19, 2012 council meeting.  This is to be completed by the City Manager.

 

Councilman Andres brought up a proposal to increase refuse fees.  He was directed to bring his proposal to the next regularly scheduled council meeting.

 

Mayor Riitters is checking on Section 125 Flexible medical Plans for 2013.
