All members present along with Guests Jim Chyba, Dave Reese and Mark Hallan from Widseth Smith Nolting & Assoc., Inc.
Meeting called to order at 10:00 By Mayor Riitters
Widseth Smith Nolting & Assoc., Inc. was present to get approval of the engineering proposal for the water treatment project. After discussion about the proposal, the council decided to make a motion to accept the contract.
Motioned by Noss, Seconded by Adamski to approve the contract with Widseth Smith Nolting & Assoc., Inc. Motion carried
Next was the City of Randall budget for 2017. Andres, Noss and Pantzke had reviewed the budget and brought the final draft to the meeting for discussion.
The proposed Budget does not include a tax levy increase. There were a few other minor changes from 2016. After review council felt the budget should be brought to the December 21 council meeting for approval.
Next the Council reviewed employee wages. Council agreed to a 2% increase for part time employees, 2.5% increase for full time employees, and to adjust the wage range for Pantzke. There will not be an increase for the Chief of police this year as he had been given a substantial raise and a step increase in 2016. All full time city staff, excluding the Bartenders, along with Officer Strack had an opportunity to visit with the council about their career in Randall. City staff did not have any issues at this time to discuss. Meeting was adjourned at 1:00pm.
